Mr. Bakare is a 1975 graduate of Mathematics of University of Ibadan. He started as a programmer in an international oil Company (Shell Marketing Company) – later called National Oil & Chemical marketing Company, before switching over to a manufacturing firm – Lever Brothers Nigeria PLC. (A Unilever Group of Companies). He rose to the post of Systems Development Manager, Data Processing Manager and eventually Business Systems Manager.
He also served as a Senior Consultant to a reputable software houses with international affiliation. Mr. Bakare has worked on various Systems. He actively participated in the development and implementation of Payroll, General Ledger, Stock Control on the Accounts and several Engineering systems such as Manufacturing Line Efficiency and Operations Planning and Logistics Systems.
He has worked on World Bank Project on National Accounts. Mr. Bakare also worked on attachment to Joseph Crossfield Chemical Co. in U.K. on the development of Real-Time Systems. He has attended several specialist courses at John Hoskyns in U.K. and Management courses in Europe, South Africa, Middle East Asia and Nigeria.
