After missing the postseason in 2023, the New York Yankees traded for star outfielder Juan Soto to help bolster their lineup. After not appearing in a game until June 19 due a spring training injury, reigning AL Cy Young award winner Gerrit Cole headed a deep rotation of starters including Carlos Rodón, rookie Luis Gil, Nestor Cortes, Marcus Stroman, and Clarke Schmidt. At the trade deadline, the team added Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Mark Leiter Jr.
This became the third consecutive World Series Game 1 to go to extra innings, and, thanks to Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s single and two stolen bases, the Yankees had runners on the corners with one out in the 10th. When Anthony Volpe grounded to short, Edman made a nice diving stop on the ball but had trouble with the transfer and couldn’t complete a potential double play. Chisholm motored home.
This was the first World Series played outside the state of Texas since 2018 and the first to not feature a team from Texas since 2020. Additionally, this was the eighth straight World Series to feature a team from Texas or California. The Houston Astros won AL pennants in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022; the Los Angeles Dodgers won NL pennants in 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2024; and the Texas Rangers won the AL pennant in 2023.
I finished up my World Series this weekend; it was a blast. Yankees got out to a 3-1 series lead, but Jack Flaherty pitched an incredible Game 5 as he, Vesia, and Treinen combine to shut out NY 4-0 and send it back to LA. Yamamota and Dodgers got down 2-0 early on two Aaron Judge solo home runs, but Dodgers rallied for 4 runs and Yankees bats went quiet for a 4-2 LA victory.

Carmen Sandiego is a series of American educational mystery video games that spawned an edutainment franchise of the same name. The game released in 1985, Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, started off both the video game series and the franchise as a whole, which has continued up to the present day. Each game of the series has a particular theme and subject, where the player must use their knowledge to find Carmen Sandiego or any of her innumerable henchmen. This series was originally owned by Broderbund, but is now owned by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Since its initial release the series has won over 125 awards and accolades.
In the game Carmen Sandiego has invented a machine called the Babble-On Machine, and the user, playing the role of Agent 13, has to thwart her plans and free all the other agents that have been captured by Carmen.
Bigham refined and developed this idea further. In the initial script, the game would select a random villain and a stolen treasure, and start the player in a randomly-selected city with a clue of where to go next via Bigham’s menu interface. Getting the right answer would give the player another clue to the next location, and this process would repeat five to six times until the villain was caught and a new game started. Siefkin believed that children would learn about the world through trial and error as they played the game. Broderbund approved of this idea for the script and incorporated it into the existing development.
This game teaches multiple subjects for kids ages 9–12. It was also the first title in the Carmen Sandiego series to be released by The Learning Company (formerly SoftKey). The game features Chase Devineaux.
In the game, the player takes the role of a rookie in the ACME Detective Agency, tasked to track down crooks from the V.I.L.E. organization who have stolen famous works from around the world. They do this by using their knowledge of geography (aided by the Almanac) to question witnesses or investigate clues to track down where the crook has gone. Successfully solving these crimes increases the player’s rank in ACME, leading to more difficult cases and later tasked to find the leader of V.I.L.E. and namesake, Carmen Sandiego.

He allowed five runs on four hits and a walk in only one inning of work with two strikeouts, the first of which was Jurickson Profar. The five runs allowed were the most ever by a Dodgers starter in their major league debut pitching an inning or less. On April 6, against the Chicago Cubs, Yamamoto picked up his first MLB win. He struck out eight while allowing just three hits in five scoreless innings, retiring the last ten batters he faced.

He tossed 4 2/3 innings of two-run ball in each of his first two outings this October, taking no-decisions against the Royals and Guardians. Schmidt pitched to a 4.50 ERA in eight home starts during the regular season, compared to a 1.39 ERA in eight road outings.
How will the bullpens line up after the starter?Dodgers: Anthony Banda, Alex Vesia, Michael Kopech and Blake Treinen pitched in both games and could be somewhat limited heading into Game 3. Having the off-day does help, but the Dodgers will need to be mindful of the fact that they have a bullpen game lined up for Tuesday’s Game 4. But if the Dodgers take an early lead and have an opportunity to win a third game in the series, Roberts will be aggressive with his high-leverage relievers.
• Freeman joined Jackson, for the A’s and Yankees, as the only players to homer in consecutive World Series games for multiple teams. The only other players with multiple World Series homers for multiple teams are Corey Seager (LAD, TEX), Dave Henderson (BOS, OAK), Lenny Dykstra (PHI, NYM) and Reggie Smith (BOS, LAD).

I do have a working RCT3 Platinum ISO that doesn’t require a CD to be played, I used to use this before I eventually got the game on Steam. I still have my original CD but this was just easier to use and setup so I used to use it. I also have a working ISO of RCT3 vanilla which is very useful for pyro creating since the AFE is much better in vanilla versus platinum/complete edition.
A new CD/DVD Copy Protections has hit the streets. It is calledAlcatraz and it is being developed by KDG (Austria). It is a crossbetween SecuROM, which is also based on a watermarking system andSafeDisc, which also uses the executable wrapping system.
It seems that there are players who do have CD for RCT3, and game copy world is still up (I think). I used game copy world exe for both Ultimate Ride Coaster Deluxe and Ultimate Ride Disney Coaster for about a decade, and never had a issue with them and they run in Windows 10, and they remain portable. So, wondering if it still the case for RCT3 and it’s the only way that’s not taken down.
